I'm honestly so grateful to you both and the host, as without you the last year at Hartpury wouldn't have been possible. It's been odd thinking of my son living with another family … but knowing he was being looked after so well put my mind at rest.

Each year, Hartpury accommodation reaches full capacity — often before many families have secured a place. Our host family placements give students a dependable, local option when they still need a base nearby.
We fully understand that on-campus accommodation is the first choice — our host families know that too, and they’re here to offer a supportive stepping stone. For many families, this option has made the difference between securing a place at Hartpury or missing out entirely.
While some students move into halls later in the term, many choose to stay with their host families for the full academic year.
Four years strong
YES Guardians has now supported Hartpury students for fourconsecutive years, with a growing number of families returning to us — and recommending us — year on year. What began as a local solution has become a trusted alternative embraced by students and parents alike.
We’ve helped students across all courses and backgrounds settle in safely, confidently, and happily.
We heard about YES Guardians and their homestay and academic support service through social media and the college. We made contact, filled in the application forms, and talked through anything we didn’t understand — some of the questions on the form provide useful information for the hosts, like diet requirements, health needs, and whether they come from a rural or urban environment.
We were offered great accommodation with lovely hosts in a very short time. YES Guardians have even put on a bus service that takes students from door to door each college day. We have both been very impressed with the service, their friendly and approachable manner, great communication, and interest in making it all work for the hosts, students and college.

Even if your child is from the UK and just needs somewhere to stay while they study at Hartpury, you’re benefiting from the same systems, training and professionalism we apply when safeguarding international students living thousands of miles from home. We only take a limited number of Hartpury students each year to ensure high-quality care and the right host family matches. To make things as fair and transparent as possible, we follow a simple process.
Register your interest
Fill in the short form below to join the list of students and families interested in our Hartpury host family placements. This doesn’t commit you to anything — it simply ensures you’re considered when spaces become available.
Receive the full information pack
Once the email is sent, places are reserved first-come, first-served. To confirm your place, complete the short sign-up form and pay the registration fee.
Full details, contract and deposit
We’ll email all registered families at the same time with prices, what’s included, availability, FAQs and sign-up instructions — reviewed in your own time, without pressure.
We are not affiliated with Cityheart Living, private halls, or hotel-based options. YES Guardians offers a personal and independent homestay service trusted by Hartpury College students and their families since 2022. We also receive the college’s parent mailing list, so there’s no need to register twice.
