At YES Guardians, we believe in creating memorable experiences for the students in our care—moments that help them feel truly at home in the UK. On 4th June, we had the joy of sharing one of those moments with Pete, one of our international students from China.
Joined by Marc and Hayley, and their two daughters, Elora and Arabella, we headed off for an evening of fun at Uncle Sam’s American Circus in Cheltenham. From the moment the big top came into view, the excitement was high—and it didn’t disappoint!
The show was a fantastic blend of colour, music, daring stunts, and laugh-out-loud clown acts. It was a real treat to step into the magical world of the circus, and to see it all through Pete’s eyes as he experienced it for the first time.
Pete was especially captivated by the tightrope walkers, holding his breath as performers balanced high above the ring with incredible skill and control. It was his favourite part of the evening, and we could see how amazed and inspired he was by the performers’ courage and grace.
After the show, we chatted about our favourite acts and shared popcorn under the lights of the circus tent. Pete said it was one of the most fun nights he’s had since arriving in the UK, and we were so happy to be part of it.
Trips like these are about more than just entertainment—they’re a chance to connect, laugh together, and give our students a taste of everyday British family life. For us at YES Guardians, it’s a joy to share these experiences and build lasting bonds that go beyond the classroom.
We’re already looking forward to the next adventure!
